2338 Chippewa St., New Orleans, LA
This project, in collaboration with local developer, Asper Construction and Development Group, is the restoration, renovation and addition to an historic residence in the Irish Channel neighborhood of New Orleans. The existing building was about 3,500sf, badly damaged from neglect and termites. The completed building project is 3,200sf. The new work involved removal of the rear half of the building which was replaced by a new addition as well as complete restoration of the existing 1880’s barge-board“ Creole Cottage”. This project involved extensive communication and work with the New Orleans Historic District Landmarks Commission and the New Orleans City Planning Commission.
