My work on this project spanned almost ten years and included two new additions totaling about 1,000 sf and interior renovations of the existing house. The first addition is a series of cascading, triangular planters that descend from a high-volume living space, connected to and extending from the street-side of the house. This work changed the architecture of the existing American Rambler-style home to something not seen before in this neighborhood. The second addition is a new bathroom within a visually de-constructed cube, set away from the existing building and connected to the master bedroom by an enclosed bridge. This small addition is in itself an abstract sculpture set within a garden.
