In 2015, I had a home built in Ashland, Oregon, based on Edward Fleming's design created from deep conversations we had regarding the important values my wife and I wanted embodied in our home - physically, aestehically, philosophically, and environmentally.

His level of commitment to the process and breadth and depth of ideas he brought to the design is very rare. Gratefully, our home still delights us every day thanks to Mr. Fleming's work.

When we reached out about a very basic addition to our home, we had a simple idea but had no idea how to make it work. Edward Fleming helped design our idea with ease but also took the time to talk to us more about the rest of the house, its functionality, and anything else we wished we could change. He took everything into consideration very thoughtfully and presented us with concepts and solutions we would have never been able to imagine on our own. We were given exactly what we asked for but also design options that went above and beyond our initial thoughts that would truly transform our house into the home we never thought it could be. At no time in the process did we feel any pressure from Ted to decide one way or another, to do less or more. He is professional, courteous, and very easy to talk to. It's clear that he truly loves what he does and has a talent for translating jumbled thoughts and ideas into elegant and functional designs. Edward Fleming was the architect for extensive renovations and additions to my historic shotgun home. The lot is narrow and Ted came up with fantastic ideas to use the space by adding a second floor and designing spaces I never thought possible. He added a mini-balcony off the 2nd floor guest bedroom which will have a glass floor, a balcony/gallery off the master bedroom, a large wrap-around back porch, an elevator, a new front entryway, storage, a walk-in closet, an office, columns and gables. Ted came up with things I would never have thought of. He paid incredible attention to detail and was very responsive to any phone calls or requests I made. Mostly, I wanted a someone who had an artistic and creative vision and I got that beyond my wildest expectations.
