This is the design for the restoration of and addition to an approximately 2,000 sf historic residence, built originally in the late 1800’s in the Irish Channel neighborhood of New Orleans. The design includes the restoration of the entire existing structure; re-design of the whole house; a new two-story Gallery; a new two-story addition; new finishes; materials and systems. The exterior reflects the historic nature of the neighborhood while the interior is at the leading edge of design, technology and environmentally responsible building. Before construction could begin and with great regret, the owners left New Orleans for work opportunities.
