Touchstone Church

Touchstone Community Church, New Orleans, LA

This is a new, roughly 4,000 sf mixed-use building that will be a combination of worship space and a residence. For the past seven years, Touchstone Community Church has held worship and outreach services on the vacant lot that is the new building site. The land itself has understandably taken on significance to the Church so about 20% of the site at ground level has been reserved for outside worship services. Another core design concept has been to create a building that does not make a grand statement but rather, blends in with the neighborhood’s historic architectural vernacular. The project has been on-hold during the 2020-21 pandemic but construction documents are nearly complete and we are looking forward to starting construction in -2022.
