We provide historic restoration services that include surveying existing structures and creating “as-built” drawings and photography; working with the local historic commission and related government agencies for design review and permitting; creating detailed restoration drawings and specifications and administering the restoration construction. And for some projects we can also provide consultants for related Federal tax credits.

Yes, we have a wide range of experience with both historic restoration of and new religious buildings as well as working with a number of different faiths and denominations.

We work closely with our clients from the earliest design concept through a number of different stages of design and drawings that lead from initial ideas to a completed building that meets their needs, fits their budget and is in its own right, a work of art.

We can work directly with you to develop the conceptual landscape design for your project and depending on its level of complexity, we can then collaborate with licensed Landscape Architects and other Landscape Design professionals or directly with landscaping companies, as needed.

We have deep experience in historic restoration and construction, including general contracting and hands-on skills in many of the building trades. So, we offer a level of design and collaboration with historic restoration builders that surpasses most architectural firms. We have a strong sense of responsibility for preserving the architecture that has defined our culture.

Currently we are developing a building system that involves both flexible design and higher-tech construction methods that creates truly affordable housing. We are working with local affordable housing advocacy groups here in New Orleans to implement this system.

Throughout history and by definition, religious architecture has been perhaps the most varied form or architecture there is. Although we look to religious architecture as a high form of art as well as function, what sets us apart is how carefully we listen to our clients (individuals as well as committees). We do this to fully understand not only the function but also the spirit of their house of worship which will be reflected in the design and form of the building.

Depending on your needs and budget, we can work with you to meet any level of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED rating system criteria. Or, we can limit our approach to sustainability to the level that is practically possible. Philosophically, our goal is to touch the Earth as lightly as possible.

Our specialty is residential design but we have a long history of design for commercial projects, including some current projects.

The duration varies depending on the complexity of the project, but we strive to work efficiently while ensuring quality.
